"This reminds Liz of how easily she could love Jason" says Herbst

JASON BITES THE BULLET:

As the week begins, Liz gets word that Ric's rogue cops shot a surrendering Jason, who fell three stories into the water. "I assume he is dead" says Rebecca Herbst, in character. "So I go to this little chapel and light a candle and say a prayer." Proving miracles do sometimes happen, a badly wounded Jason has made his way to the very same chapel. "I can tell he is slipping in and out of consciousness and that he might die" she continues. Meanwhile, rumors of his death make their way around Port Charles, even as he fights for his life. "It's bad" says Steve Burton  in character. ""I'm losing a lot of blood." Desperate to give Jason a reason to live, Liz uses the only tool at her disposal. "I tell him, you have to live for the baby's sake because Lucky is not the father - you are!" exclaims Herbst.

Jason passes out so Liz immediately takes action and takes him to her studio and then calls Sonny. Rushing to be by his pal's life, Sonny watches as Liz performs life saving surgery on the father of her child. Hearing from Sonny that Jason is alive, Carly rushes over to put her nose where it doesn't belong. Sending Liz off to rest, Carly is there when Jason wakes up and tells him to not make a big deal out of the fact that the nurse saved his life and that Sam is the woman he truly belongs with.

THANKSGIVING REUNION:

When Jason awakes, it quickly becomes obvious that he didn't hear Liz's confession. At the urging of Emily, Jason fills in the Quartermaines that he is alive and well while Liz issues Lucky an invitation to spend Thanksgiving with her. Once the leftovers are put away however, it's back to business as usual, thanks to Ric, who reinstates Lucky and orders him to find Jason - dead or alive! Jason, meanwhile, wants nothing more than to save Sam. "I'm trying to find Spinelli" continues Burton. "He has evidence that Ric dummied the flash drive and framed Sam." Of course, Ric is not going to make this easy. "He wants me dead more than anything" says Burton, noting that the feeling is mutual. "I want him dead. He is a threat to me, Sonny, Sam and Elizabeth."

LIZ GETS A WARNING:

Rodriquez tips Liz off to the fact that Lucky is now gunning for Jason and she in turn, passes that information on to Sam's beau. Sam, meanwhile, tries to open Lucky's eyes to Ric's true objective: having the two men in Liz's life remove one another so that the DA can win back her heart. Jason shares this theory with Liz. "She really doesn't believe it" admits Herbst. "I don't think she wants to believe it". Slipping back into Liz, she explains. "We had memories together. I did love him" she says before adding with a laugh, "and he did break my heart when he tried to kill me." Despite his precarious health, Jason sets out to clear Sam and find Spinelli only to find out that Alcazar has gotten to Spinelli. Hoping to keep Jason from doing something stupid, Liz slips Sam a cell phone. Although the lovers exchange tender words, Jason remains determined to find Spinelli and clear Sam's name - at any cost. But Sonny takes charge, insisting he will handle the situation and orders Jason to stay put.

As if! Receiving a tip that there are screams coming from Alcazar's warehouse, Jason heads there only to be knocked out by the last person he expects to find. Unfortunately, by the time Alcazar's goons are dealt with, Spinelli is once again missing in action. But a bit of information puts Jason once again, hot on the man's trail.   

But what of the ladies in Jason's life? Expect to see the two women get into a bit of a tussle over what's right for the man in the middle. Liz does however, make a fairly telling move. Jason asks her what she was saying when he was injured. "And she makes the choice to not tell him about the baby. But she's got a soft spot for Jason and it is his baby. She's having a hard time letting go of that"
