Lulu Confronts Jason

Daddy-to-be Jason was cornered by Lulu, who learned she wasn't going to be an aunt after all.

Jason and Elizabeth's secret was out and Lulu was not happy about it.  "Do you know that Elizabeth is having your baby?" she spat.  Startled by the teen's angry and accurate out burst, the mobster tried to explain why he and Elizabeth had allowed the lie to live on, but Lulu's ears were closed.  Why were they letting Lucky move forward with re-marrying Elizabeth when such a gigantic lie was hanging over their heads? "Lucky wouldn't go into rehab for Elizabeth or for Cam" Jason pointed out, trying to convince both her and himself that what he and Liz were doing was right.  "How do you think that made her feel? So now all of a sudden he changes his life for this kid who he thinks is his, and how is Elizabeth supposed to tell him that baby is mine?"

Lulu was beginning to see his point and she started to calm down.  Jason, on the other hand, became more torn the more he explained himself.  Lulu was riled and insisted that you don't lie to people you love.  "You did!" he fired back.  For a moment, she stood there in stunned silence.  Then... "Wow, screw you." she shot at him, challenging his honesty policy.  "You don't even know me, Lulu.  If you did, you would know that I want to be honest about this, but this is a difficult situation.  There are a lot of people involved.  If I tell the truth, I hurt Sam, I hurt Lucky, I hurt Elizabeth and most of all, I hurt my own child.  How is that right?"

Although she apologized for snapping at him, she wasn't about to drop the issue.  "I'm going to protect Lucky - I'm going to tell him the truth."

Steve Burton and Julie Marie Berman took viewers on an emotional roller coaster ride hitting every beat from guilt to loyalty.  Their flawless performances made it clear that there's no simple answer to their characters' complex problem.
